Seacourt Bridge’s Dan Brown suffered heartbreak as he finished three short of a maximum 18 dolls in their 3-0 win against The Cricketers Littleworth in Section 4.

It was looking good for Brown as he clanged off a double sixer with his first 12 throws, but he could bag only three with his next six attempts.

Teammate Mick Beane also hit a six in his 11 doll-haul in a scoreline of 24-13, 21-17, 22-15.

Vikings B continued their surge up the table with another impressive 3-0 win, this time at home to Garsington Sports B.

Alan Davies (2-3-6) and Ian Bowler (3-4-4) led the way in the 22-19, 22-15, 29-20 victory.

Den Sellar scored a six in his 16 doll-haul (5-5-6) for The Cricketers B as they claimed maximum points at home to White Hart A.

Ivor Clarke also threw well with 15 dolls (5-5-5) in the leg scores of 28-22, 29-25, 30-26.

In Section 2, Six Bells Quarry’s Tony Barrett bagged 14 dolls as(4-6-4) as they came from behind to beat The Chequers A 2-1.

Chequers won the opener 24-21, but The Six Bells won the next two legs 26-21, 15-10 to take victory.

A 13-doll haul from Keith Quinell, including a six (6-4-3), proved in vain as Kidlington Sports Club B crashed 3-0 away to The Squire Bassett.

However, they lost all three legs 22-19, 22-21, 20-15. Paul Holt and Ray Townsend both hit 13 (4-5-4) for Squire Bassett.

Team Monarch still rule the roost in Section 3 after their 3-0 win over Chequers C.

After Monarch took the first leg 27-20, anchor man Darren Cox hit the three dolls needed to level at 20-20 in the next leg, before they sealed victory on three sticks.

They completed the whitewash with a 20-18 win.

Dave Fry hit his first maximum of the season as Chandos Arms B won 2-1 against Nelson B in Section 1.

Ray Hambridge top-scored for The Nelson with 11 dolls (4-3-4).

Littlemore Rugby Club duo Dean Giles and Pete Smith were left cursing their luck after missing maximums in Section 6 leaders’ 2-1 victory against basement boys The Cat-herine Wheel.

They were both flying on 17, but missed with their last stick.

Catherine Wheel edged the opener 16-14, but Littlemore stormed back by winning the next two 25-19 and 20-13 to take the comeback victory.

Bob Felix cla-nged off a six for Catherine Wheel.

The Black Bull scored more dolls than their opponents Gladiators B, but still ended up going down to a 2-1 defeat.

Gladiators took the first leg on a three-stick shoot-out after the teams were locked at 15-15.

Bull then triumphed in the next leg 24-15.

But Gladiators were not to be denied the win, taking the decider 19-18.

In Section 7, bottom club Brill Club B were unlucky to win only a point against The Masons Arms.

They lost the first two legs by the odd doll 16-17, 14-15, but won the final leg 16-10 to grab a point for their efforts.

Dan Rawlings smashed a sixer for The Priory as they beat Cowley Con Club 3-0 to remain top of the tree in Section 9.
