OCA League Divisions 1-3

DAVE Eaton grabbed five wickets to help Horley to a crushing nine-wicket victory over Tetsworth in Division 1 on Saturday.

Eaton claimed 5-28 in his 12 overs as Tetsworth were shot out for only 93, before Nick Tarrant (54no) saw Horley home in 12.3 overs.

Garsington dodged the showers to stay top of the table with a five-wicket success over East Oxford.

Batting first, East Oxford posted 182-6, Khurram Shaheen top-scoring with 62.

Qaiser Naveed (44) led Garsington’s successful run chase as they reached 184-5.

Shrivenham stayed in touch with a five-wicket win at basement boys Marcham.

Ernie Howe (5-19) ensured the home side were dismissed for 103, then Shrivenham reached 106-5.

Charlbury eased to a 97-run victory over Minster Lovell.

Asif Shah (49) and Tom Lowe (45) helped Charlbury to 221-5, before Bimalka Liyanarachchi took 4-33 as Minster slumped to 124 all out.

In Division 2, Marsh Gibbon edged past Oxford Caribbean by eight runs.

Alex Wallace hit 78 and Sat Vadivale 52 in Marsh Gibbon’s 174-8, Carl Palmer claiming 4-59.

Dave Prosper (69) led Carib-bean’s reply, but they fell to 166 all out.

Leaders Broughton saw off Freeland by six wickets.

Tom Hill claimed 3-33 in Freeland’s 128-6, before Jason Tilcock (43) and Stuart Walton (33no) led Broughton to 130-4.

Hook Norton edged past Faringdon by one wicket.

Andrew Stanley (4-48) and Paul Souch (3-33) combined as Faringdon were all out for 138, then Nick Leader (61) saw Hooky to 143-9.

Oxenford beat bottom club Witney Swifts by five wickets.

Jason Seacole (56no) saw Swifts to 112-5 in a rain-reduced match, before Oxenford reached 115-5, despite 4-35 from Sam Cross.

Danny Harding’s magnificent 144 not out was in vain as rain ruined Chadlington’s Division 3 clash at East Oxford 2nd.

Harding had helped Chadlington to 216-1, Mark Lambert also scoring 55 not out.

East Oxford were 6-1 when the heavens opened.

Robbie Nicholson starred with bat and ball in Combe’s three-wicket win at East & West Hendred.

Nicholson claimed 5-24 in Hendred’s 170-8, then scored 39 as Combe reached 174-7, Dave Gardner top-scoring with 61 not out.

Eynsham celebrated their first victory as they saw off Winslow by four wickets.

Mark Weller took 5-35 to restrict Winslow to 151-9, then Adam Hingley (44no) led Eynsham to 152-6.

Chris Allen hit 101 to help Watlington to a six-wicket win at West Ilsley.

Replying to West Ilsley’s 175-7, Watlington eased to 179-4.

Clifton Hampden thumped Westcott by 106 runs.

Morley Benson (83) helped Clifton to 205-5, before Arthur Beard (4-14) and Steve Wetherall (4-32) combined to shoot Westcott out for 99.
