OCA League Divisions 4-11

HAILEY’S Andy Walker had a weekend to savour as he grabbed an astonishing 14 wickets in two games to help his side up to second in Division 4.

On Saturday, Walker claimed 7-24 to help his side to a 92-run win over Chipping Norton, then 24 hours later, returned 7-35 as Hailey crushed Radley by 137 runs.

Against Chippy, Hailey posted 149-9, Omar Hussain top-scoring with 49, before Walker’s haul led to the visitors being shot out for 57.

Paul King (51) led Hailey to 195-8 against Radley, who were then rolled over for 58 as Walker again took centre-stage.

In Division 5, Nick Brightman claimed 8-50 to help Brill to a two-wicket win over Swinbrook.

George Grace (39) helped Swinbrook to 170 all out, before Tony Burcham (60) led Brill to 171-8.

Jimmy Appleton’s 6-26 helped Chesterton record a six-wicket win at Great Horwood 2nd.

Horwood were restricted to 132-9, then Graham White (65no) shone as Chesterton reached 133-4.

In Division 6, Harry Ebsworth starred for Minster Lovell 2nd as they beat Freeland 2nd by three wickets.

Left-arm spinner Ebsworth took 6-31 to restrict Freeland to 120-9.

Minster then reached 124-7 in reply, Ryan Frost top-scoring with 33.

Bilal Khan (5-33) and Sajad Khan (4-12) shone for Garsington 2nd as they beat Chalgrove by 85 runs.

Zubair Shafique (54) and Arshad Mehmood (50) helped Garsington to 200-5, before Chalgrove were shot out for 115.

Dan Smith returned remarkable figures of 8-12 from 12 overs for Kings Sutton, who routed Rising-hurst for 49 in Division 7.

Smith’s haul set up a simple run-chase for Kings Sutton, who cruised to 50-1 and a nine-wicket win.

Stonesfield 2nd returned to winning ways with a 96-run victory over Westbury 2nd.

Paul Jackson (83) led Stonesfield to 182-8, before Adam Lambert (4-31) and Dan Sherbourne (3-34) combined to dismiss Westbury for 86.

Earl Richardson was on song for Tetsworth 2nd, who ran out eight-wicket winners at home to Kidlington.

Richardson claimed 4-14 to help dismiss Kidlington for 140, before top-scoring with 88 not out as Tetsworth reached 142-2 for victory.

In Division 8, Steventon picked up their first win as they defeated West Ilsley 2nd by 52 runs.

Achinta Jayasank top-scored with 31 in Steventon’s 165 all out, before claiming 5-40 as West Ilsley fell to 113 in reply.

Bampton thumped Witney Swifts 2nd in Division 9.

The home side hit 211-6, Grant Print scoring 69.

Matthew Williams then claimed 6-33 as Swifts were shot out for 71.

Chesterton 2nd beat Charlbury 3rd by 100 runs.

Phil Lowe (97no) led Chesterton to 266-2, before taking 3-40 as Charlbury were held to 166-7 in reply.

In Division 10, Simon Townsend’s unbeaten 77 led Kidlington 2nd to a four-wicket win against Oxford Rescue 2nd.

Stuart Morgan claimed 6-44 as Broughton & North Newington 2nd thrashed Risinghurst 2nd by nine wickets in Division 11.

Risinghurst were dismissed for 90, before James Taylor (55no) led Broughton to 91-1.

A superb century from Josh Bishop saw Kilkenny 2nd to a 124-run win at Hanney 2nd.

Kilkenny rattled up 239-6 with Bishop hitting 109.

Luke Pilling (5-29) and James Barker (3-14) then combined as Hanney fell to 115 all out.
