Oxford United say they won’t consider the possibility of installing a temporary stand at the car park end of the Kassam Stadium for their derby game against Swindon Town on Saturday, March 3, until next year.

The club’s communications officer, Adam Jankiewicz, said: “We will look at the costings of it in conjunction with the police and the health and safety implications.”

Meanwhile, United’s League Two trip to Northampton on Saturday, April 7, has been brought forward a day to the Friday night, subject to Football League approval.

The match will now be played on Good Friday at the Sixfields Stadium, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
