A record partnership, two maiden fifties and a first five-wicket haul fired Oxfordshire to a 210-run victory over Wiltshire in ECB Women's County Championship Division 5 South & West at Charlbury.
Megan Burton hit 82 not out and Rhian Todd 50, with the pair putting on 105 for a record Oxon fifth-wicket stand.
That help the hosts to 250-9 in their 50 overs, while Sam Moore took 5-27 as Wiltshire crumbled to 40 all out.
After being inserted, Oxfordshire made steady progress before Burton and Todd’s century stand took them from 94-4 to 199-5.
Burton’s 121-ball knock featured nine fours, with Todd’s 50 coming off 64, including eight fours.
Wiltshire conceded 47 wides in a total of 64 extras, which helped Oxon secure maximum batting points.
The visitors’ innings started poorly with Moore and Nicola Scull (3-11) picking up two early wickets.
A good skying catch by Emilia Bartram and a fantastic caught and bowled by Scull stopped a promising partnership between Hathaway and Williams.
Leg-spinner Ellie Porter took two quick wickets in partnership with wicket-keeper Burton, and it was left to Moore to finish the game off.
Scores: Oxon Women 250-9 (50 ovs, M Burton 82no, R Todd 50, V Hathaway 3-54), Wiltshire Women 40 (12.4 ovs, S Moore 5-27). Oxon won by 210 runs.
