Graham Charlesworth took 6-11 as Abingdon Vale battered morning leaders Banbury 2nd and so stripped the visitors of their 100 per cent winning record.

He was ably supported by skipper Dan Hartley, who took 4-25 as Banbury slumped to 77 all out inside 28 overs.

Four Vale batsmen gave their wickets away, but Sam Chilvers’s unbeaten 34 saw them home in the 19th over.

Jack Soppett took 6-73, but Banbury Twenty still slipped to their fourth straight defeat by six wickets.

His outstanding effort came in Great Brickhill’s 195 all out, which also featured good innings by Arran Aris (54) and Anton De Beer (43).

But Soppett was upstaged by Great Brickhill's Nick Tweed (7-57), who blasted out the top order and then returned to mop up the tail as Twenty tumbled to 118 all out.

Sam Hollingshead’s 6-60 proved decisive as Tiddington overcame Wolverton Town by six wickets.

Town were indebted to Aky Hussain (75), who was the mainstay of their 174-9, while Atif Akhlaq added 34 and Sean Potter 30.

Tiddington’s reply was held together by Sammy Thomson, who was unbeaten on 90 when the visitors reached 175-4.

Unbeaten Long Marston are the surprise leaders after a five-wicket victory at Aston Rowant 2nd, who were all out for 96 after eledcting ti bat.

Marston made heavy weather of the chase, but eventually reached 97-5.
