Izzy Jones from, Heights Trampoling Club, will compete at national level after winning a gold medal in the Southern Region Championships in Farnborough.

The 13-year-old, from Abingdon, triumphed in the under 15 girls grade E competition.

Jones went on to finish second at a grade D event in Faringdon to secure a promotional offer to compete in national events.

The pupil at Fitzharrys School Abingdon, who trains four times a week at the White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre Abingdon, joins clubmate Chloe Stevenson, 13, at national level.

There she will join Tim Godden, of the Flying Solo Club based in Wantage and Faringdon, who took gold in the over 19 grade D category.

In less than a year, the 18-year-old has accelerated through all regional grades.

Clubmate Tara Hutchings, 18, took a bronze medal, while Rose Kent, 11, performed two excellent routines to win the under 13 grade G girls title in only her second event.

Gemma Johnson’s efforts earned the 23-year-old a silver medal in the over 15 grade F competition.

Jo Ilsley, 19, finished fourth in the over 15 grade E girls group.
