The settled warm weather leading up to the Easter holiday saw the carp at Linear Fisheries, near Stanton Harcourt, really putting on a show.
The latest large specimen to come out was ‘The Big Plated’ weighing an impressive 44.6.0 which fell to Leicester carper James Swann on St John’s Lake.
He used Mainline cell pop-ups on a chod rig over about 30 freebies and had a total of ten fish during his session.
