Banbury United’s unbeaten run of four matches came to a juddering halt as Truro City clinched the Premier Division title with a professional display at Spencer Stadium.
Truro were made to work hard by a Banbury side who secured their top-flight status last week.
The visitors went ahead when Les Afful netted after being cleverly put through by former Fulham striker Barry Hayles.
At the other end, Banbury’s Northampton Town loanee Will Green had a chance to level, but fired wide of the target when well-placed.
After the break, as Banbury threw men forward, a swift counter-attack saw Truro grab a second.
Jamie Ash cross find Hayles flick the ball home over the exposed Joe Murrell to put the champions in complete control.
And Banbury’s misery was completed five minutes from time when substitute Andy Watkins completed the scoring with a well-taken goal.
Banbury Utd: Murrell, Stanbridge (Farquharson 46), Maddox, Gordon, Learoyd, Coleman, Benjamin (McDonald 71), Stone, Green, Ashton (Staff 46). Subs not used: Rose.
Attendance: 499.
