Oxfordshire juniors won ten medals during a successful trip to the bronze grade Badminton England tournament in Truro, Cornwall.
Eynsham’s Lucy Fisk won the under 17 singles, beating county teammate, Harwell’s Julia Froud, 21-14 in the final.
The Oxon duo teamed up to win the doubles, defeating Emma Puzey and Izzy Lewis, from Somerset, 21-12 Oxford’s Jordan Beardmore won silver in the under 15 boys’ singles, losing to Devon’s Tom Otto 21-15 in the final.
Beardmore and Ben Egginton (Faringdon) then claimed boys’ doubles bronze.
Twins Imogen and Edith Langford, of Harwell, won girls’ doubles bronze, while Imogen took singles gold after beating Abby Joliffe (Dorset) 21-14.
Meanwhile, Ben Roberts (Brize Norton) won under 13 boys’ singles bronze at the silver grade Badminton England tournament in Reading.
Ibby Ahmed (Oxford) and Jeremy Lu (Abingdon) took the boys’ doubles.
- OXFORDSHIRE Under 11s hammered Worcester 33-1, while Oxon under 15s beat Berkshire 16-4 in inter-counties matches.
