TONY Harvey was the hero as Vikings B closed the gap at the top of the Section 2 table in the Oxford & District League after a 3-2 victory at leaders Marlborough, writes PETE EWINS.
Harvey won the crucial fifth game as Vikings moved to within four points of the summit with a game in hand.
Dave Bartlett (4,890) and a tenth win of the season for Sean Stratford (4,200) put Vikings 2-0 up.
Chris Plant and then Chris Iagoe hit back to square the match at 2-2, but Harvey sealed it.
