Chinnor head coach Jason Bowers was full of praise for his players’ efforts against Hartpury.
He said: “I felt we were competitive throughout the game, I couldn’t fault our effort.
“Adam Hastings was outstanding and from one to 18, they played well.
“The injuries to Cathcart and Serrano swung the game. We then had to make enforced changes.
“It was just an unfortunate event. At that point, we were getting on top, we felt we were really in the game.
“Full credit to Hartpury, they are a side that play for 80 minutes and were very strong.
“Losing Joe Pickett and Simon Tattersall meant we went down to 14 men and created more space, which they took advantage of.”
