Oxford United moved up one place to eighth in League Two after a 2-1 win over Rotherham at the Kassam Stadium.
Steve MacLean scored the winner midway through the second half from the penalty spot after he was tugged back by Callum Kennedy, which earned the left back a red card.
Simon Heslop had fired the U's in front on 18 minutes from Jack Midson's pass, but Rotherham levelled 18 minutes later through Nicky Law.
