Simon Heslop marked his return to the side by putting Oxford United ahead at the Kassam Stadium today.
The midfielder drove home a first-time shot from 15 yards in the 18th minute after Jack Midson cut the ball back.
Both Heslop and Midson came into the side because of slight knocks to Simon Clist and Tom Craddock.
But Rotherham equalised on 36 minutes when Nicky Law caught United asleep at the back to turn in Callum Kennedy's pass.
