A stunning 30-yard strike from Kieran Sanders saw North Leigh to victory in Division 1 South & West.
Sanders’s strike nine minutes after the break doubled the lead given to them by Josh Dutton-Black’s early opener as North Leigh collected their seventh away win of the season.
Playing against the wind in the first half, North Leigh went ahead when Sanders’s in-swinging corner fell to Dutton-Black, who lashed the ball home from close range.
Adam Lonsdale denied Hungerford’s Jemel Johnson, while Matty Taylor’s low angled shot was well-saved by Kieron Drake in the Hungerford goal.
Sanders’s wonder-strike doubled the lead after the break as he struck a rising shot into the top corner.
As the game entered the final minutes, Lonsdale again denied Johnson.
With two minutes left, Johnson did reduce the arrears, but North Leigh held on.
North Leigh: Lonsdale, Posey, Hopkins, Sanders, Franklin, Hole, Reardon, Burnell, Taylor (Redknap 46), Caton (Futcher 77), Dutton-Black. Subs not used: Clark, Merriman.
