Faringdon Town B fought back to beat Ardington & Lockinge Res 4-3.

Andy Capper’s penalty had given Faringdon the lead, only for Lee Gerrard (2) and an own goal to see Ardington go 3-1 ahead.

But a Kenny Clements brace and an own goal saw Faringdon win it.

Jamie Gregory scored twice in Stanford in the Vale Res’s 2-0 win against Sutton Courtenay Res.

Division 2 Hanney United needed a 4-3 penalty shoot-out win to beatDivision 3 side Uffington United in the second round of the War Memorial Cup.

The scores were level at 3-3 after 90 minutes and both sides scored again in extra time, before Hanney triumphed on penalties.

Division 3 outfit Sutton Courtenay thrashed Division 5 strugglers Appleton Stars 11-0, with goals from Steve Pitson (4), Luke Venn (2), Adam Oram (2), Ollie Wright, Josh Gilsenan and Andy Nyland.

A brace from Vinnie Cooper earned East Hendred Res a 2-0 win at Steventon Res in the second round of the League Cup.
