Anthony Simpson and Ashley Duckett bagged doubles as Northway thrashed Broughton & North Newington 6-0 in Division 1 of the Oxfordshire Senior League.

The result saw Northway close the gap on second-placed Oxford Irish to one point.

Oshane Tulloch opened the scoring, before Simpson’s double saw Northway storm into a 3-0 lead.

After the break, Ashley Duckett hit No 4 with his first goal for the club, before Lewis Welby made it 5-0 with a cracking shot.

Duckett wrapped it up with Northway’s sixth.

Stuart White scored twice in Middleton Cheney’s 5-0 victory at Quarry 09.

Perry Hawkins and Steven Finch, plus a James Gray own goal completed Middleton’s tally.

North Oxford fought back to draw 1-1 against Yarnton.

Mark Harper gave Yarnton the lead, before Nino Merola secured a point before the break.

In Division 2, Freeland Res fought back to beat Enstone Res 5-3 , thanks to a hat-trick from Jefferson Marriott.

Tom McCladden and Tom Millar, with a penalty, were their other marksmen, with Tom Adams, Richard Ghagan and Chris Mullard replying for Enstone.

Eynsham Res threw away the lead three times as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Marston Saints Res.

James Reeve cancelled out Sam Bird’s opener for Eynsham before the break.

Sam Jones restored Eynsham’s lead in the second half, only for Jason Hallett to to fire in the leveller.

Reeve headed Eynsham in front again, only for substitute John Jones to seal a share of the spoils.

Dan Buckley and Kieran Chambers bagged a brace apiece in Slade Farm United Res’ 4-1 hammering of Yarnton Res.

Slade controlled the first half and missed several opportunities before Buckley fired them ahead midway through the half after good work from Callum Wynne.

Wayne Smith had earlier equalised for Yarnton from the penalty spot.

Buckley and Chambers’ double then completed Slade’s success.

A Dan Normington strike sealed a 1-0 victory for Hors-path Res against Stonesfield Res.

Strikes from Stuart Wells and Gary Wiggins helped leaders Bletchingdon Res win 2-1 at Garsington Res for whom Dan Smith was on target.
