JACK Taylor scored 103 and took 3-34 from ten overs for the Darren Lehmann Academy in Adelaide.

The Gloucestershire all-rounder, from Great Tew, opened the batting to lead the academy to 310-6 against Knox Grammar School (Sydney).

In their reply, Knox posted 210-6 as Taylor shone with three wickets.

Taylor is certainly making a good start to 2011, having hit back-to-back scores of 63, 75 and 80 for his club side, the Southern District Stingrays (Adelaide).

  • WOLVERCOTE CC, who play in OCA Divisions 6 and 10, are looking for new players.

Timings are 9-10am (under 11s), 10-11am (under 13s) and 11am-noon (under 15s).

Winter nets for adults will also take place at Cooper School on Thursdays from 8-10pm, starting on February 3.

Fellow Cherwell League club Abingdon Vale have started coaching sessions and indoor nets for their under 15s on Friday nights.

These are held at Abingdon School sports hall on Fridays until April 1 (6.30-8.30pm).
