OAKS winner Freedom Emma enhanced her claims for Bitch of the Year with a resounding follow-up victory to land the Betfair Community Standard at Hall Green on Tuesday.

Going off at 9-4 joint favourite with runner-up Diesel Mate, Emma hit the boxes to show great early pace.

That provided dividends at the first bend where she went round clear and ran away from her rivals to trot up by a magnificent seven lengths.

The Richard Yeates-trained bitch now appears odds-on to claim the Bitch of the Year award at the annual BGRB awards later this month.

Yeates has been inundated with enquiries over future breeding from Emma.

Yeates’s super puppy Aherlow Shaw, who he rates six lengths better away from Oxford, gave him a nice double when landing the Betfair Puppy Stakes by three lengths from fellow Oxford runner Nick Colton’s Shelbourne Ceri to seal a great night.

Meanwhile, the Oxfordshire Stakes will be sponsored by the Oxford Bookmakers as Property Care failed to provide a definite date. It is now scheduled for the end of next month.

The Cesarewitch will now be backed by former owner Max Picinelli.
