Oxford City Stars could hand new Polish signing Damian Matla his debut when they travel to Kent for tomorrow’s English National League South Division 1 clash with Invicta Dynamos.
Stars head coach Ken Forshee will be looking for Matla, who has played in both the Polish Elite League and the Swedish League to boost their firepower.
Recent trips to the Ice Bowl have ended in heavy defeats for Stars.
However, Stars are buoyed by last weekend’s 5-3 win against Bristol Pitbulls and a 3-3 draw against Cardiff, to end a run of poor results.
Netminder Jamie Thompson takes over in goal after Swede Robin Lindva was released to free-up out-skater “import” slots.
The only absentee from the Stars’ squad is James Francis Barry who plays for the under 18s.
