Tomorrow will be the first time Oxford United have faced the Bantams at the Kassam Stadium.

Their last home match against Bradford City was in December 1998 in a Division 1 game at the Manor Ground, when the Yorkshire outfit won 1-0.

In the two seasons before that, the games finished 0-0 and 2-0 to Oxford, with Nigel Jemson and Paul Moody getting the goals.

Bradford are the best supported club in League Two, with home gates averaging 10,800.

Oxford (averaging 7,250) are second.

Yet City do not take massive numbers away. Around 500-600 travelling fans are expected at the Kassam Stadium after the setback of their 3-1 home defeat by Barnet last week.

Bradford defender Luke O’Brien said after that game: “It’s really disappointing and we’ve got to come back strongly at Oxford.

“They are going to be raring to go after we beat them by five here but we’ve got to be ready for it.”

Consistency has been the biggest problem for manager Peter Taylor.

The Bantams won their last away game, 2-1 at Lincoln on January 1.

But the one before, they crashed 4-0 at Cheltenham.

And they have scored just seven away goals away, the poorest record in League Two.
