Jason Bowers is urging Chinnor to get back on track when they host Barnstaple in National 3 South West tomorrow (2.15).

Chinnor have lost their last three games, albeit over a drawn out period, but head coach Bowers hopes their unbeaten home form will provide the boost they need.

“All three games we lost were away, which has been a contributing factor,” said Bowers.

“We are not losing by much, but we are still losing.

“It is important to turn the corner.”

With no fresh injury concerns, Chinnor could name the same side that lost 17-16 at Redingensians last week.

Bowers added: “Our home form has been fantastic and we are looking forward to the challenge.

“Having beaten us down there, we know Barnstaple’s scrummage and pack are very powerful.

“They also have a decent kicker, who can move your back three around.

“We have got 12 games to play and eight of those are at home.

“If we win our home games and pick up one or two on the road, we will be where we wanted to be at the start of the season.”

Flanker Tim Knapp and full back Graeme Crapper come in for Oxford Harlequins’ trip to bogey side Coney Hill.

Knapp replaces Matt Young, who is ski-ing, while Crapper takes over from Alex Lyness, who is out for the season with a dislocated shoulder.

Director of rugby John Brodley said: “Going to their place is never easy, but we are looking forward to building on last week and getting an away win.

“They had a good result at Old Pats last week, which shows their potential, so we need to be on top of our game.”

Henley Hawks will be without wing Jack Shaylor (hamstring) when they host struggling Westcombe Park in National 2 South.

Neil Baggett moves to wing, Tom Allen to full back and James Comben comes in at fly half.

Dave Clements replaces Jeremy Giles at lock, Matt Payne returns at No 8, with Tom Stradwick switching to blindside flanker.

Hooker Sam Collins returns to the Witney squad as they seek to avoid a third straight defeat in South West 1 East at home to Reading Abbey.

Utility back Henry Lamb is still out injured.

Prop Simon Layzell, lock Tom Rowberry and wing Dan Stalker come in for Wallingford’s trip to Maidenhead.

They replace Paul Lewis, Mike Turner and Ralph Smith respectively.

Banbury Bulls visit sixth-placed Lichfield in Midlands 1 West.

Prop Jon North, wing Gareth Hudson and centre Ashley Lane come into the side for Grove’s home clash with Tadley in Southern Counties North.

Gosford All Blacks have the Sutton brothers, Tim and Harry, at half back for the short trip to Alchester in the BB&O Premier Division.
