ABINGDON United scored three goals in the final five minutes to record their first win in ten matches with a 5-1 success at Andover last night.

Richie Bourne’s side had fallen alarmingly down the Zamaretto Southern League Division 1 South & West table after a dismal run of results.

But Shaun Wimble put Abingdon ahead last night, with Mark Barnes doubling the advantage.

Shane Simms reduced the deficit in the 71st minute, but a late burst saw Jon Mills score in the 85th and 86th minutes to make it 4-1, before Barnes netted two minutes from time to secure a much-needed win.
