Martin Hall struck the winning spot kick as Oxfordshire Senior League side Stonesfield reached the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup with a 6-5 penalty shoot-out victory against Marston Saints.

He fired in after Marston had missed their last penalty.

The sides had been locked at 2-2 after extra time.

Gary McEachran had given Stonesfield the first-half lead with a cool finish, only for Billy Young to level on 89 minutes following a long kick from keeper Chris Day.

Michael Phipps restored Stonesfield’s lead in extra-time, but John Hudson side-footed home Marston’s second equaliser to set up a penalty shoot-out.

Both sides scored five penalties each, but after Marston missed their sixth effort, Hall fired home the winning kick.

Sean Flaherty hit a four-timer in Hinksey’s 8-1 thrashing of Watlington.

Marlon James bagged a treble and Craig Bloomfield completed their tally, with David Heycock netting for Watlington.

A double from Andy Kier helped Kennington edge out Yarnton 4-3.

Kieran Lewis gave Kennington the lead with a header, but Mark Harper levelled.

Dier slotted his first from close-range to give Kennington a 2-1 lead.

After the break, Dier completed his brace from Stuart Cattell’s pass, only for Tom Hurbert to claw one back.

Joyce made it 4-2 and although Harper lobbed his second, Kennington held on.

Liam O’Callaghan got a last-gasp winner for Garsington in a 5-4 victory at Freeland.

Goals from Aaron Armstrong and Jay Morris seemed to put Garsington in control, but a Dan Taylor brace, plus strikes from Robbie Wyatt and Gary Brooks gaveFreeland a 4-2 lead.

But goals from Colin Ryan and Morris – his second – saw Garsington level, with O’Callaghan scoring the late winner.

An Andy Cullen hat-trick saw Broughton & North Newington hammer Long Crendon 7-1 in the first round of the Ben Turner Cup.

Chris Tillcock, Karl Tucker, Gareth Davies and Steve Norman got their others, with Ryan Scott netting for Crendon.

Kieran Chambers and Adam Mercer hit braces for Slade Farm United Res in a 4-0 win over Charlton Res in Division 2.

A Jefferson Harriott brace and a Tom Millar strike saw Freeland Res to a 3-2 win against Oxford University Press. Nolan Asleford (2) netted for Freeland.

A hat-trick from Sam Graham saw Garsington to a 6-1 win against Stonesfield.Dan Frazer, John Eggleton and Jason Dyer got their others with Pete Miller replying.
