Wallingford had a great chance to win it with a five-metre scrum late on, but were penalised for a crooked feed.

Witney had a disappointing 16-3 defeat at Reading.

Reading looked the hungrier side for most of the match and took the lead with a try Witney claimed lock Marc Copperwheat, who had to leave the field with a blood injury, had been punched.

The visitors managed a penalty from full back Tom Harper after a late tackle on fly half Pierre Dubost.

Reading went 10-3 up with a try on 55 minutes. Witney created a chance for centre Carl Strutt, but the ball was spilled.

Reading slotted two penalties, either side of a yellow card for Witney replacement Tim Muller.

Witney pushed hard at the end, with Harper coming closest to scoring a try.
