Oxford City remain deep in Premier Division relegation trouble after being brushed aside by fellow strugglers Evesham United.

The hosts took the lead after ten minutes when David Accam released Isaac Shaze to shoot home.

After half an hour, City were 2-0 down as they failed to close down a cross from the right and Leo Brown took advantage to score from close in.

Evesham went further ahead after 63 minutes. James Clarke pushed an Evesham player after he thought he had been fouled, and referee Mike Bingham awarded the hosts a penalty, which Danny Scheppel converted.

To complete a miserable dayfor City, striker Lee Steele limped off with a hamstring injury with 15 minutes left.
