North Leigh manager Mark Gee says his side must get out of the blocks quickly as they play their first game for six weeks, against Almondsbury in Division 1 South & West.
The big freeze and no scheduled fixture on Monday put paid to their hopes of playing sooner.
“It’s nice to be playing at last,” said Gee whose team last played on November 27 when they drew 1-1 with Hungerford.
“When we were training some of the lads were complaining it felt like July again (when they started pre-season training) and basically people have to prepare like it is July.
“We need to get off to a good start because we will be playing Saturday and Tuesday evey week until the end of the season.”
Abingdon United face a trip to Cinderford Town.
