FORMER Radley ace Hatti Dean finished 2010 as the No 1 ranked female 3,000m steeplechase runner in the UK.

Dean’s best time of 9mins 30.19secs was five seconds faster than her nearest rival, Barbara Parker.

The UK rankings list also made good reading for Oxfordshire’s other two elite athletes, Hannah England and Nathan Doguas.

England was No 3 in the UK at 1500m, No 5 at 800m and No 6 at 3,000m.

Her best time in the 1500m was at the Gateshead International, where she clo-cked 4.04.33, while her 800m time of 2.00.47 was set at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

In the 3,000m, her time of 8.56.72 was recorded in Boston, USA.

Despite a disappointing season, Douglas’s leap of 17.03m at the Aviva UK Championship in July was enough to rank him No 2 behind arch rival Phillips Idowu in the triple jump.
