Oxford City boss Mike Ford says their first home Zamaretto Southern League Premier Division win of the season will mean nothing unless they follow it up with a win against Bashley at Court Place Farm tonight.

Ford will go with virtually the same line-up that eased to a 3-0 victory against Hemel Hempstead on Saturday.

“They have got the shirt and it’s up to them to keep it,” said Ford, whose only change will be Mark Janes replacing the unavailable Michael Lyon (work commitments).

“I don’t want players to start getting into the comfort zone. They have to try to attain the best level of performance they can. If they are getting comfortable they will be out of the team.

“Our performance on Saturday was very good. We now have to keep that going against Bashley, who will be tough.”

Banbury United manager Billy Jeffrey has urged his side to be more clinical in front of goal as they look to end their winless home run at the expense of Cambridge City.

While the Puritans have gleaned 14 points away from Spencer Stadium, they have yet to break their home duck.

Jeffrey said: “We’re keeping positive. We are playing well, but we have to take our chances.”

Meanwhile, Jeffrey praised the display of Malachi Farquharson, 18, who made his debut in the 1-1 draw at Windsor & Eton on Saturday after signing on loan from Northampton Town.

“I thought he would be someone that would suit our team and he did very well,” he said.

Didcot Town host basement boys Weymouth.

Kieran Sanders returns to the squad for North Leigh’s trip to Thatcham in Division 1 South & West.

They miss Aaron Posey (work), plus Andy McCabe and Stuart Huxley (both injured).
