Oxfordshire's Frances Houghton and Zac Purchase struck gold for Great Britain in the World Rowing Championships in New Zealand.
Houghton, 30, from Wheatley, made a fairytale comeback from injury by helping Britain’s women's quadruple scull grab the glory at Lake Karapiro, Cambridge.
And Purchase, 24, who lives in Wallingford, and Mark Hunter added the world title to their Olympic gold from Beijing with a dominant performance in the lightweight men's double sculls.
