Chris Kyme, one of Oxford's leading owners and a private trainer, pulled off a great win at Henlow last week when his Killishin Masai led all the way to land the £1,000 Winter Bookmakers Marathon over 870 metres with five and three-quarter lengths to spare.

There was £26,000 up for grabs in the evening’s six open races.

Westmead Guru won the feature event worth £20,000.

THE late Stuart Locke-Hart, chairman of the Oxford owners Association has been awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Greyhound Writers Association.

The award marked his dedication to the sport he loved and recognised his work as chairman of the Federation of British Greyhound Owners Association and as the owners representative on the board of the BGRB/GBGB.
