Banbury Bulls could not build on their opening victory as they lost 27-7 at Nuneaton Old Edwardians.
Nuneaton led 12-0 thanks to tries from Paul Rees and Sam Garnham and a Tom Short conversion.
Banbury rallied with a stoppage-time try from wing Carl Daniels, after good work from Ed Phillips and Dan Boys, converted by Mike Smith.
But Carl Hutchings (2) and Jody Peacock crossed over for Nuneaton in the second half.
