Witney Utd 5 (Wright 11, 55, Colwell 19, Lewis 48, Allmond 78)

Thame Utd 2 (Rogers 10, Braun 65)

Sam Wright bagged a brace as Witney United bounced back from last week’s heavy defeat in the Premier Division on Saturday.

And they did it the hard way, after falling behind early on when Aaron Rogers ran onto a huge clearance from Thame keeper Milan Barisic to hit a smart shot in off the far post past Witney’s Dwayne Whylly.

The home side were soon level, Wright firing home a shot through a crowded penalty area.

Lewis Colwell tapped home after Sean McKeon’s shot was only parried by Barisic to give the home side the lead.

Three minutes after the break, Tommy Lewis’s 25-yard effort found the top corner, before Wright made it 4-1.

Stuart Braun reduced the arrears for Thame, but Witney sealed the points with No 5 when Connor Allmond netted a fine solo effort.

Ardley Utd 4 (Bone 10, Bryan 23, Concannon 55, 71)

Fairford Tn 2 (Skinner pen 35, Bailey 88)

A brace from new signing Ian Concannon helped Ardley maintain top spot in the Premier Division against struggling Fairford.

Danny Bone’s flying header gave Ardley the lead, then Troy Bryan doubled the advantage midway through the half.

James Skinner reduced the arrears from the penalty spot ten minutes before the break, but Concannon restored Ardley’s two-goal advantage ten minutes after the break.

Concannon tapped in his second to make it 4-1, before Dan Bailey grabbed a late second for Fairford two minutes from time.
