OXFORD United midfielder Sam Deering has rejected the chance to join Kidderminster Harriers on loan.
Deering, who has not featured much for United this season, is remaining on trial with League One club Leyton Orient.
And U’s boss Chris Wilder confirmed to the Oxford Mail yesterday: “Kidderminster came in for him, asking about taking him on loan.
“But he and his agent turned it down.”
It is thought United probably would not have minded Deering going out for a month to get some first-team football.
But Deering, 19, probably did not want to drop to the Conference.
At the moment, Wilder is keen for people to concentrate on the players he has, rather than those who are not featuring.
He said: “I’ve been asked about players who are no longer at the football club, like Rhys Day and Dannie Bulman. They have done great, but we are moving on and moving forward.”
