OXFORD City Stars returned to winning ways with a 7-3 victory over Swindon Wildcats in South Division 1.
Swindon were a youthful, energetic side, and took the lead in the seventh minute through Ryan Burgess.
Stars levelled on 15 minutes when Josh Oliver found Gareth Endicott, who fired the puck past ex-Star Jamie Thompson.
And within a minute, Joe Edwards knocked the puck into an open net after being set up by Grant Bailey to make it 2-1.
Wayne Fiddes extended the lead further before the end of the first period.
The visitors started the second period brightly, and were rewarded when a long-range shot from Stephen Whitfield found its way past an unsighted Stars’ netmind Robin Lindva.
And within a minute, Wildcats had equalised when Grant Richardson netted.
This seems to wake Stars up, and before the end of the second period, captain Darren Elliott linked up well with man-of-the-match Alan Green to restore their lead.
In the third period, Oxford scored three more goals to wrap up a convincing victory as Endicott and Elliott netted their second goals Joe Ed-wards completing the scoring.
Oxford City Stars 2nd won 4-2 in South Division 2 at Bristol, thanks to goals from Joe Boot (2), Joe Oliver and Sam Broughton.
