Declan Benjamin had a hand in all three goals as Banbury United defeated Wimborne 3-1 after extra-time in last night’s first qualifying round replay.

The visitors went ahead on 56 minutes when Nabil Shariff latched on to Benjamin’s through ball to lob over keeper Alan Walker-Harris.

Wimborne levelled through Mark Smith’s 25-yarder, but two minutes into extra-time, Sam Lockyer slid the ball into his own net as he and Benjamin stretched at the far post.

Benjamin sealed a trip to Billericay by running down the right and finishing from an acute angle on 108 minutes.

North Leigh were knocked out after a 2-1 home defeat to Paulton Rovers.

Aaron Posey put the hosts ahead on 65 minutes when he fired home from Andy McCabe’s chest down.

Daine O’Connor scored on 66 and 75 minutes to win it for Paulton, the latter coming after Adam Constable saved from Matt Cooper.

North Leigh almost levelled when George Redknap’s header from Alfie Saunders’s cross brushed the bar late on.
