THE Oxford Trios League is over for another season at Bowlplex in Oxford.
The Crosses narrowly saw off The Saga Louts to take the title, while highest scoring male bowler was Carl Halford, with 278 pins in one game.
Top women’s bowler was Julie Pender-Fitzpatrick, 206, while the most improved bowler award went to Seamus Paskell. Paddy Grey recorded the most 200-plus games.
The league, which boasts 40 bowlers, are looking for new players of all standard. Matches take place on Monday evenings, starting at 7.45 pm.
League secretary, Helen Fairweather, said: “This is an inexpensive, year-round sport and, as a handicapped league, we welcome and encourage new bowlers whatever their current standard of play.”
