OCA League Divisions 5-11

KENNINGTON 2nd’s Norman Robins came close to achieving every bowlers’ dream as he finished with nine wickets during his side’s Division 9 demolition of Chinnor.

Spinner Robins took 9-25, including a hat-trick, and could have had all ten, but for an umpiring call, as Kennington skittled out Chinnor for just 81.

In reply, Kennington cruised to 82-1 and a nine-wicket win.

In Division 5, leaders Kennington crashed to a 21-run defeat against struggling Uffington.

Uffington posted 182-6, before Ashley Green took 3-19 as Kennington were dismissed for 161.

Chipping Norton closed the gap with a thumping nine-wicket win over Cassington.

The visitors were restricted to just 140-5, before Adam Wallington (59) and Ian Widdows (52no) saw Chippy to victory.

Swinbrook maintained their Division 6 title charge with a three-wicket win at Tetsworth 2nd.

Richard Parker and Joel Graham took three wickets apiece in Tetsworth’s 170 all out.

Ben Lucas (43) and Graham (35) saw Swinbrook to 171-7.

Kilkenny’s Duncan Macdonald hit 66 to help his side to a 26-run victory over Kidlington.

Kilkenny were bowled out for 220, then managed to restrict the visitors to 194-9 as Chris May claimed 5-64.

Wolvercote kept up the pressure with an eight-wicket win against Westbury 2nd.

Jamie van Santen took 3-37 in Westbury’s 161 all out.

Tim Macintyre then scored 100 not out and van Santen 40 as Wolvercote cruised to 165-2.

In Division 8, Risinghurst marched on with a crushing ten-wicket victory at Marcham 2nd.

Ripon Masih (4-10) and Rakesh Nambiar (4-17) combined as Marcham were dismissed for just 78.

Martin Kalyan (42no) and Nick Poulter (34no) then saw Risinghurst to victory.

Chesterton 2nd thrashed Westcott 2nd by 198 runs to stay clear at the top of Division 10.

Lee Price (87no) helped Chesterton to 249-8, before Westcott were skittled for 51.
