Jason Cattermole reeled off three 180s in the Angel’s 8-1 drubbing away to whipping boys Prince of Wales in Premier & Section 1.

Kit Young also weighed in with a maximum for the victors.

In Section 2, College Oak got back to winning ways with a 5-4 victory at home to Three Horseshoes.

Singles win by Mike Woodbridge, Dene Tierney and Steve Fisher for College Oak were cancelled out by Steve Trinder, Paul Bustin and Steve Collins, who beat Shane Paintin (180).

However, a 2-1 pairs win gave College Oak victory.

Green Road Social Club’s Mark Burns hit a brace of 180s in the 8-1 home win over Shelley Arms.

Section 3 leaders Nuffield Lounge lost their unbeaten record with a 5-4 defeat at Rileys Social Club.

Mark Wheeler, Graham Goodall and Stephen Jones posted singles wins for Rileys, with Nuffield replying through Dan Jones, Keith Ballard and Mark Moss.

Rileys prevailed, though, taking the pairs 2-1.

Section 4 leaders Prince Of Wales were given a scare by near neighbours Cricketers Arms before retaining their unbeaten record with a 6-3 win.

Bob Harwood, Roger Whannel and Chris Myers fired Cricketers into a 3-1 lead.

But the Cox boys, Gary and Wayne, added to Lee Cox’s earlier win, and Prince of Wales secured victory with a clean sweep of the pairs.

Section 5 leaders Vikings Social Club A eased to a 6-3 home win over Marston Royal British Legion A.

Sean Pollard, Vic Brown, Kevin Masterson and Chris Pollard were the singles winners for Vikings, who also took the pairs 2-1.
