A devastating opening burst by Australian Todd Guthridge set Banbury on the way to an 82-run victory over Tring Park in Division 1 at White Post Road.
The left-arm seamer ripped through Tring’s top order with four early wickets to leave the visitors reeling at 12-5 in reply to Banbury’s 231-8.
Tring battled hard to stage a recovery, but the damage had been done and they were all out for 149.
Guthridge finished with 4-34, while the combination of off-spinner Jimmy Phillips (3-47) and left-arm spinner Luke Ryan (2-45) finished Tring off.
Earlier, opener Damian Shirazi top-scored with 61 for Banbury after skipper Ian Hawtin won the toss and elected to bat.
Shirazi, who hit 11 fours, and Ed Phillips (37) put on 101 for the first wicket to lay the foundations for Banbury’s total.
Nathan Hawkes capitalised on the solid start with a fluent 54 as Kyle Nipper took 6-69.
