RICKY Martin, of Didcot Barramundi was on top form with ten medals in City of Oxford’s level three gala at Temple Cowley.

Martin won the best boys award for his haul of eight golds and two silvers in an event that attracted 200 swimmers from around the region.

City of Oxford ace Maia Little won four gold medals.

The nine-year-old stormed to victory in the 50 metre breaststroke, clocking 49.63secs. She also touched first in the 100m breaststroke (1min 45.87secs), 200m freestyle (3.12.29), and 100m medley (1.37.50).

Little added a silver in the 50m butterfly (46.12).

Clubmate Olivia Webster, also nine, also clinched four golds.

Her victories came in the 50m butterfly (45.90), 100m butterfly (1.39.33), 50m backstroke (44.64) and the 100m freestyle (1.19.93).

In the boys events, Oliver Mase, 10, triumphed three times in the 100m (1.22.48), 200m freestyle (3.09.78) and 50m butterfly (47.64).

City’s David Holland, 10, did likewise in the 50m freestyle (36.57), 50m breaststroke (48.84) and 100m medley (1.36.61).

Elsewhere, City’s double winners were Lily Seaward, 11, the 50m (41.39) and 100m (1.31.29) breaststroke champion, Eleanor McNaly, 11, 50m freestyle (33.54) and 50m backstroke (39.02) and Evie Murrell,14, who dominated the 100m (1.10.06) and 200m (2.27.94) freestyle.
