Pauline Sydenham broke North Oxford’s ladies’ course record after shooting a 75 in their Medal No 6.
Sydenham shot the five-over-par round to win the medal and saw her handicap cut from 13 to 11.
- OXFORD City’s Paul Bradbury bagged a double in a memorable weekend.
On Saturday, Bradbury won City’s monthly stableford with 40 points, then the following day he teamed up with Andy Hooker to clinch the FH Taylor Bowl.
Rounds of 71 and 72 earned them a 143 total in the competition named after City’s first professional, who served the club from 1923 to 1965.
- BICESTER’S Janet Cross and Irene Tomkins reached the fourth round of the Daily Mail Foursomes with a 5&3 home victory against North Oxford.
- PHILLIP Noble was the only player to register two nett rounds under par as he won Kirtlington’s Seniors Masters.
- WITNEY are Oxfordshire’s only men’s side left in the Mail on Sunday Classic after defeating North Oxford 3-2.
Their successful team were Steve Putt, Richard Dunsby, Wally Jackson, Lloyd Almond and Richard Connor.
- PAUL Simpson, from Witney, and Mark Munro, from Wantage, have qualified for the regional final of the Virgin Atlantic PGA National Pro-Am Championship.
West Berkshire pro Simpson and his amateur partner Munro will tee it up at Frilford Heath on June 25 where the winners will secure a trip to the Bahamas.
