Oxford City & County A suffered a shock 6-0 defeat at the hands of their B team in the first week of the Oxford & District League Division 1, sponsored by Yarnton Nurseries Garden Centre.
Ron Hammond's rink led the way with a convincing 27-12 win as the B team record 90 shots to their opponents' 60.
Defending champions Banbury Central A also suffered a surprise defeat as they went down 5-1 at home to Carterton, a reverse of the score between the two sides last year.
In Division 2, West Witney picked up a comfortable 5-1 win over local rivals Witney Mills.
Mick Hitchcox's rink shone with a resounding 33-12 success.
