Witney's Heidi Brooke-Little was in sparkling form in the Sportsmen's Trophy Junior Gala at West Oxfordshire's Windrush Leisure Centre.

Fresh from her recent successes at the Oxon and North Bucks County Championships, Brooke-Little was never headed in winning the girls 11 & under breaststroke and earned herself the swimmer-of-the-match award.

Next best were youngsters Marc Colling and Harry Hall.

Nathan Harkin outstripped the opposition in winning both 12 & under freestyle and butterfly races, while Conor Taylor and Callum McLean landed the boys' 11 & under breaststroke and 10 & under backstroke respectively.

Witney finished a distant second to Ruislip-Northwood in the three-team event.

Personal bests were also achieved by Witney's Rebecca Pau, Ellen Moore, Tanja Wolf, Amy - Louise Harris, Daisy Merriman, Josephine Milner-Day, Fiona Watters, Jessie Holland, Jack Possee, Jake Cockcroft and Alex Foggett.

oTHREE Wantage swimmers were placed in the Coventry Open Meet.

Becky Pepler came second in the 11 & under 100m breaststroke.

Lewis Brown did likewise in the 14 & under 100 breaststroke, finishing one place ahead of clubmate Adrian Pepler.

Wantage's Hannah Vine, Becky Pepler, Adrian Pepler, Thomas Ruddel, Josh Harrop and Lewis Brown achieved qualifying times for the South East Region championships in June.
