MARTIN Harris upstaged a host of international rugby stars when he landed a hole-in-one at The Oxfordshire.

Harris, general manager at the club near Thame, surprised his colleagues with his ace on the 15th hole during The Oxfordshire's 'Friends' day.

The event, featuring England World Cup winner Simon Shaw, Wasps' Alex King, Mark van Gisbergen and Fraser Walters and former Scotland back Kenny Logan, promoted the Friends of Leaderboard' scheme.

This will enable the rugby stars to play at all four Leaderboard Group-owned courses The Oxfordshire, Chart Hills in Kent, Dale Hill in East Sussex and Sandford Springs in Hampshire.

Jennifer Daniels, marketing manager at The Oxfordshire, said: "We had a lot of talented sportsmen out on the golf course so it came as a big surprise to everyone that Martin stole the show!

"It was a tremendous day and we were delighted to welcome such notable names from the world of rugby to The Oxfordshire.

"The players were impressed by the club and the golf course and we look forward to welcoming them all back as Friends' of Leaderboard."

Other famous faces already holding 'Friends' status include ITV's Gabby Logan, wife of Kenny, former England footballer Jamie Redknapp and TV presenter Vernon Kay.
