Oxford City’s combined under 15/17 girls’ team now lead the standings by a massive 117 points going into next month’s final round of the Oxford Mail Cross Country League.

Lauren Hawtin led the way at Cirencester, winning in 11.31 – 16 seconds clear of the field.

Hawtin leads the individual standings in the under 15 girls’ category by six points ahead of Banbury’s Connie McMillian, while her City clubmate Jade Walker tops the under 17 girls’ standings with eight points.

Lauren’s younger sister, Beth, made it four wins out of four in the under 13 girls’ competition, helping her City to another victory in 8.14.

She tops the standings by a narrow margin of just two points from Radley’s Megan Humphreys.

In the boys’ races, Radley’s George Miller again stole the show.

He clocked 18.34 to see off Team Kennet’s Michael Randall by ten seconds – Radley leading the team standings by 56 points and Miller the under 17 boys’ rankings by three points.

Radley also triumphed in the under 13 boys’ race, as they were led home by in-form Christian von Eitzen in 7.28.

His club now lead the team competition by 45 points with one round remaining, while von Eitzen leads Witney Roadrunners’ James Currah by five points.

Robert Crowther won the under 11 boys’ race for Radley, clocking 4.17.
