Four new captains got in the swing during their drive-in ceremonies at Hadden Hill.

Men’s captain John Robinson, Mary Green (ladies), Athar Chaudhry (Hadden Old Golfers Society) and Jordan Williams (juniors) all drove in for their years of office.

The drive-in was followed by a nine-hole fourball team competition, which was won by Denzil Gould, William White, Roy Thorpe and Margaret Vallance.

They claimed the prize with 45 stableford points.

Meanwhile, Reg Jones smashed his drive 232 yards as he drove in as Carswell’s new seniors captain.
