Oxford City boss Mike Ford has set his players a challenge – to wreck Farnborough’s unbeaten away record.

The Hampshire side, who boast former Didcot Town midfielder Jack King, are nine points clear and Ford said they would have to put on one of their best displays of the season to get anything from Saturday's game.

“They have lost only once all season and haven’t lost away,” said Ford, who saw Farnborough draw 2-2 at Bedford Town in midweek.

“So we will have to play unbelievably well to win. But they have to lose away some time, so why can’t it be us?”

City welcome back Liam Malone from suspension and Mark Bell after injury.

Ford added: “When we played them earlier in the season (City lost 2-1) Lee Steele, Dave Savage and Richard Knight were missing and we had a few making their debuts, so we will be stronger.”

Didcot Town manager Stuart Peace wants a repeat show for their trip to Evesham.

On Saturday, Town drew 2-2 at second place Brackley, to make it three draws in a row.

He said: “My message is if you are capable of putting on a display like that at Brackley then you can go to Evesham and get a good result.”

Josh Dutton-Black (ankle) faces a late test, while Matty Jack (ankle) is sidelined. Andy Williams returns to the squad.

Banbury United boss Billy Jeffrey has to decide whether to make changes for the visit of Merthyr Tydfil or stick with the side that drew 1-1 at Truro.

With Nathan Haisley, Ben Milner and Aynsley McDonald out, they fielded eight teenagers.

“They all did well. We should have won it, but at the end the linesman thought the ball had crossed the line for their equaliser, which it didn’t.

“Considering the side we had out – some hadn’t played for a while – it was a great result.

“So I have some tough decisions to make.”

North Leigh aim to avenge their defeat at Abingdon United when the sides meet at Eynsham Park in Division 1 South & West.

Manager Mark Gee said: “We lost 3-1 and we are looking to put that right.

“Sam Warrell, Aaron Posey and Ryan Curtin have played for both sides, while Andy Slater was my assistant before going to Abingdon, which will add extra spice.”

Simon Futcher (hamstring) is out and Warrell banned.

Sam Elkins (ankle) has a late test for Abingdon.

Assistant boss Darren Edwards said: “We played each other in the Hellenic League, and it’s always going to be a tough game.”
