Two tries from speedy winger Will Browne saw Oxford University overturn an 8-0 half-time deficit to beat the Royal Navy 15-8 at Burnaby Road, Portsmouth, last night.
A try by Greg Barden and drop goal from Tom Glover put the servicemen in command at the break, but the Dark Blues upped a gear in the second half, keeping and using the ball to greater effect.
Charlie Marr converted one try from man-of-the-match Browne and also landed a penalty.
No 8 Mike Rickner was outstanding for the students.
