Three Oxfordshire players have been named in the South West squad for the under 16 divisional festival.
Lock Matt Thomas (Shiplake College) and flanker Gus Jones (Eton College) will start in their match against the North, which has been postponed until January 22.
Nick Boyall (Radley College) is named on the bench, while Bloxham School’s Tom Stephenson (Buckinghamshire) and Abingdon School’s Peter Allan (Berkshire) are also in the 22.
Meanwhile, Oxfordshire’s Nathan Busby (Henley College), Ed Church (Cokethorpe School), Ben Mitchell (Oratory School) and Lewis Woodfield (Moseley RFC) appeared for the South West in the under 18 divisional festival at West Park Leeds RFC last weekend.
The South West drew 22-22 with London & South East in the final.
England’s under 16 and 18 squads will be chosen from players who impress in the divisional festivals.
FIVE Grove girls have been selected for Thames Valley regional trials.
Under 15s Laura Hargreaves, Ceri Walsh and Olivia Jones, plus under 18s Lizzie Humberstone and Ann Tivey will be in action on January 17.
